Chorlton's Community Allotment is looking for more volunteers – people who'd like to spend a few hours every week, helping to cultivate The Lost Plot.

In order to give people a taste of what it's like on the allotment, coordinators Helen and Josh have organised a series of workshops.
This event will have an Introduction to Organic Gardening followed by a Harvest Festival BBQ.

The Lost Plot was set up three years ago by Action for Sustainable Living, a South Manchester based charity who 'connect people, share resources and support communities to live more sustainably.

Organiser Helen Starr-Keddle said:
"We'd really like a few more people to come and join us regularly on the allotment and no previous gardening experience is necessary. It's great fun, good exercise and the more hours we put in the more produce we have to take home! The workshops will provide a bit more info about The Lost Plot and it'll be a chance to come and have a chat and tell us how much or how little you think you'll be able to commit to. I know there's loads of people who'd like to be a bit greener, but just haven't got the time to take on an allotment by themselves. A community allotment is the perfect solution."

For more information or to let Helen know if you're interested in attending any of the workshops email Helen.Starr-Keddle[at]afsl.org.uk or phone Helen on 07900 6 48666 or Josh on 07789912055
